Please note: The park is closed on Tuesdays. Visitors can no longer bring single-use plastic bottles into the park. Please pack your reusable water bottle. You may enter with a snack, limited to sandwiches and precut and peeled fruit in reusable plastic containers less than 800ml in size.

Jungle Night Tour

According to studies, the largest percentage of all animals of most groups are active mostly or exclusively at night. Once the sun sets in the Costa Rican rainforest, we start hiking and looking for exiting species of animals while the jungle takes on a totally different character. It goes from a green cathedral-like forest to a pitchblack jungle where beautiful shining blue morpho butterflies fly along small rivers, filled with the sounds of millions of insects and dozens of frogs & toads. It’s the best time to find, observe and photograph beautiful tree frogs, shy snakes, colorful insects, mammals and other rainforest creatures that only come out at night.

Coastal Trek

Manuel Antonio Trail “Reto Mae” is one of the most beautiful mountain trails in Costa Rica and the only one in the Central Pacific coast with amazing landscapes and breathtaking views. It is a real challenge for the outdoor sports lovers. It covers a distance of 8 kilometers surrounded by a natural forest and mountain trails that so from the town of Quepos to Manuel Antonio along the pacific coast through five beaches, some of them known only be locals because of difficult access. You will experience Manuel Antonio the same as a “Tico”, having a nice and friendly morning with an expert adventure hiking guide. Recommended for people who have a physically active

Nauyaca Falls
Nauyaca waterfall in Tinamaste

The largest of the area’s waterfalls, just an hour south of Manuel Antonio, Nauyaca waterfall can be explored several different ways. The traditional tour is on horseback with an early morning start and larger groups. Transportation is not included, so ask for pricing based on your group size.

The adventurous way to see these majestic waterfalls would be to hike in with a guide, a little later than the horseback riders, so that the waterfall pools are not at all crowded. These guides love to cliff dive, and are happy to lead you up the face of the waterfall, if you feel the urge. No safety lines, or security measures, so it’s a very personal decision for anyway interested in big thrills. The walk in is at least an hour, mostly uphill, and very scenic. This a fantastic option for hikers who like to combine activity with a work out.

People interested in the falls, but not so inclined to work out may be happier choosing the secret VIP option. This private back entrance to the property makes the falls an easy 20 minute walk away. Same amazing end result with very little effort.
